The joys of being a turtle volunteer
Ever since my first time on Chagar Hutang, I have never been able to get it out of my mind resulting in a further 4 trips (in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008) throughout the years. Even when I couldn’t go, every year in February I would automatically start checking the registration page to see how fast it fills up and as well, trying to convince my friends to go.

There have been reported cases of mortality from consumption of hawksbill turtle meat in the South Pacific Island of Tonga where 18 people became sick from eating hawksbill meat.

Can sea turtles drink freshwater?
Green turtles are mostly herbivorous, feeding mainly on sea grass and sea weeds, but may occasionally grab a jellyfish or two. The remaining species are mostly carnivorous.
