Counting down to the Turtle Blogathon!

Alright, the Turtle Blogathon will take place here on the TCC website in exactly a weeks’ time. We are very excited about the whole fun-and-fund-raising event and in a few days, we will be stocking up lots of chocolate bars and junk food and yogurt drinks at Chan’s place for the event — if you’ll be in Kuala Terengganu that night-and-day, we’d like to welcome you to drop by Chan’s place and pay us a visit.

By the way, we are now a 4-member team as Rahayu Zulkifli has just agreed to join us. She will be blogging from 6pm to 8pm on Oct 26th.

We have started receiving turtle-related questions from the public, so that’s a good sign :) So if there’s anything you’d like to know about marine and freshwater turtles, please shoot us your questions from now until Oct 22nd. You can ask us just about anything, for example:

• What are the differences between a turtle, a terrapin and a tortoise?
• How many species of turtles are there in the world?
• What are the largest and smallest turtles?
• How long do turtles live?
• How do you say “turtle” in Japanese? Or in Russian?

If we don’t know the answer to your question, we will do some research, digest the information and present it to you in a way that we can all understand and remember :) Please note that by sending us your questions, you are not obligated to make a donation. In fact, you are not obligated to do anything — though we’d be very delighted if you could drop by and give us some moral support. If you feel like making a donation to TCC, that would be fantastic, otherwise, we’d still be happy to see you around :)

To make the Turtle Blogathon even more fun, we have decided to intersperse blog posts with turtle trivias and turtle quotes so that you can impress your colleagues/friends/parents. I will also be putting up a chatbox on the sidebar on Oct 25th so that we can chat right here on the website :)
