Become Our Intern

Want to Join Us as an Intern?

Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS) is a small, young but dynamic organisation, with activities ranging from multi-disciplinary research projects to working with the local womenfolk to produce marketable batik-themed products. Our work-type and work-load vary throughout the year, from camping out at the riverbank and micro-chipping terrapins, to measuring newly-emerged terrapin hatchlings, to conducting Turtle Camps with students to co-hosting a CSR programme with corporate companies to managing our social media sites to writing grant proposals and press releases.

Our internship programme is one of the exclusive perks available to our lifetime members. If you are selected for the internship, we do require all candidates to sign up as a lifetime member, which provides access to a variety of benefits, including the internship opportunity itself, networking events, and professional development resources.

We welcome Malaysian students at no cost to encourage local involvement and build conservation awareness within our own communities. For international volunteers, a small contribution helps us provide housing, training, and ensure the programme remains sustainable—allowing us to continue protecting endangered turtles together.

We accept interns who are able to stay for a minimum of four weeks, which we believe, benefits both the intern and TCS.

Thank you for your interest in joining TCS as an intern. Our internship programme is open to individuals who align with the objectives of our Society. To maximise your chances of securing an internship, we encourage you to explore additional opportunities listed at the bottom of this page.

Please fill up the following form for us to know you better. If you have any questions regarding the internship, feel free to contact Dr. Chen Pelf Nyok at pelf@turtleconservationsociety.org.my or you may WhatsApp us at +6011-5417 3577.
