We are now a registered NGO in Malaysia!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the turtle conservation organization that we have been dreaming of setting up is now a reality! :D After spending almost 5 months consulting with various people and collating the necessary paperwork and signatures, we are now a registered Malaysian NGO.

The official English name for our new NGO is Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia, or TCS. And in Malay, we are known as Persatuan Pemuliharaan Tuntung, Kura-Kura dan Penyu Malaysia. It is quite a mouthful, but it encompasses all the components that we have been carrying out in the past, as well as those that will be carried out in the future :D

In the next few weeks or so, we will:

  1. launch the new Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia website;
  2. launch a Member Recruitment Drive (please be assured that membership fees are SUPER affordable); and
  3. call for our first Annual General Meeting.

If you would like to join or support us in saving more turtles, please watch this space for more information! :D

Cheers!
