To many people, it is actually quite a “crazy” thing to do, i.e. to go to another country and spend time volunteering for a local NGO. For me, I just felt that it was a very “natural” decision that my instinct told me to make as soon as I found out that TCS was looking for a few interns. I was so excited when I was shortlisted!

During this past month, I have had a lot of “first times,” like handling terrapin hatchlings the right way, witnessing sea turtle hatchlings emerging from the their nests, watching female sea turtles laying eggs, and many more. I will remember these for life. I also met many wonderful people who inspired me in different ways, including the local villagers in Kg. Pasir Gajah who live such a simple yet happy life. I like them so much ☺

I thank all of you very much, especially Pelf who gives me the chance to work with TCS and for your guidance all along. All the best to TCS! Let’s help the planet and animals in different parts of this planet ;)
